Do you have my size?
Most likely, if it is a common light truck or passenger size. We keep roughly 180 tires on the floor at any time, weighted toward what people actually drive around Holt: half ton pickups, farm trucks and the school run.
Read the size off the sidewall of the tire you have now. It looks like 265/70R17. Read us those three numbers on the phone and you will get a yes or a no in about fifteen seconds, which is faster than any website search box has ever been.
(816) 555-0212Can you get it by tomorrow?
Usually yes. We take two deliveries a week from the warehouse in the Northland, Tuesday and Friday mornings. Anything ordered before 4pm the day before is on that truck.
If you call on a Saturday about something we do not stock, the honest answer is Tuesday, and we would rather say so than have you sitting here.
(816) 555-0212What is it out the door?
Nobody local publishes tire prices, so here they are. These are installed, per tire, and include mounting, balancing, new valve stems, the old tire disposal and the state fee. The number below is the number on the ticket.
| Size | Fits | Value | Mid | All terrain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 205/55R16 | Most cars | $96 | $134 | n/a |
| 225/65R17 | Crossovers | $118 | $161 | $189 |
| 265/70R17 | Half ton pickup | $147 | $196 | $232 |
| 275/60R20 | Newer pickup | $178 | $228 | $271 |
| LT235/85R16 | Trailer and farm | $139 | $174 | $205 |
A flat repair is $25 and free if we sold you the tire. Rotation is free for the life of anything bought here.
(816) 555-0212Can you do the rest of it while it is here?
Yes. Tires are the half of this shop people know about. The other half is general service: brakes, oil and filter, alignments, batteries, belts, hoses, exhaust, starters and alternators, and the state safety inspection.
One truck, one visit, one bill. If you are already having tires fitted, an oil change adds about twenty minutes and no second appointment.
Wait, are you the U-Haul place?
We are. Ridge Road is the authorised U-Haul truck and trailer dealer for this stretch of 169, and has been for years. Trucks, cargo trailers, utility trailers, tow dollies, boxes and pads.
This is the part almost nobody knows, because U-Haul's own page ranks above ours and it does not mention that there is a tire and service shop attached to the counter. So: you can pick up a trailer and have the hitch wiring checked in the same stop, and the people handing you the keys are the people who would fix the truck.
Reserve through U-Haul or call the shop directly and we will tell you what is actually sitting on the lot right now, which is not always the same thing.
